More on Giving More
Last issue I spoke about how BCAA has added value by offering their new tire plugging service. This issue I want to talk more about giving more. Last week I participated in a two day intensive training program on selling, hosted by High Output Training Systems.
What made this training session different from any other I have attended was the value Howard Olsen delivered. I showed up on the first morning at The Vancouver Club, one of the most luxurious meeting and event spaces in Vancouver. We were greeted by Howard and encouraged to prepare ourselves for the day ahead by selecting a hot or cold drink from a massive beverage centre. There were also baked goods, which is standard, and a large bowl of beautifully prepared fruit, which is not.
After getting what I wanted, I proceeded into the training room. I arrived at my assigned seat to find my personalized High Output name card, course material binder with organized tabs, and a very sharp “High Output Training” pencil. This environment set the stage for the quality content and interactive training that was to come.
Without giving away the farm, I have to say, there were a number of other pleasant surprises that lay ahead, especially on the second day. Howard Olsen knew how to set the right tone for this two-day intensive, involve all participants and deliver above and beyond our expectations.
Whether you have a product or a service, find ways to consistently deliver the most value to your clients. They will be motivated to tell the world about you, and word of mouth is the ultimate and most cost effective form of marketing.
