Keep Them Coming Back

It seems I have been in shopping malls more in the last few months than in the last few years combined. I noticed how malls are looking for ways to get people to visit more often.Mom and me

While at Bayshore Shopping Centre just outside of Ottawa, I noticed ads in the women’s washroom. These ads were located in the bathroom stalls as well as along the wall where people enter and exit.

The theme for Bayshore right now is “Life in Style.” In order to talk their talk they offer free yoga classes to moms and babies. The copy reads “Complimentary programming to suit your life… and style. Free ‘Mommy and Me Yoga’. Every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. Located on the second level, adjacent to Zara. For you and your infant.”

If we break this down, the mall wants to bring moms into the mall every week at a time in the day where traffic is low. I think this is a brilliant strategy and I hope it is working for them.

Keeping potential and established customers coming back is the key to a profitable business.
