Brand Spanking New
Three weeks ago I presented my keynote speech, “The 5 Marketing Essentials To Getting 50% More ‘LIFFT'”, to an audience of sixty and discovered that at least 10 per cent had concerns that were directly relevant to the subject I was discussing.
Their organization was either going through the process or had just completed the process of rebranding. Some already had a shiny new logo, revamped business cards and marketing materials. Impressive.
Yet, when I asked the question, “What are your plans to leverage this new brand to get more business?”, it proved to be a difficult question to answer.
Having a new brand definitely feels good, especially for the organization. On the less glamorous side, it can be expensive both in time and resources to develop. I believe rebranding is a wise investment, but with one important caveat. Having a new brand is only effective if you have an action plan in which to launch the brand into the market, in order to gain more credibility, a stronger presence and more ideal clients.
