Increase Website Traffic
In the last tip, I announced the launch of Lift Strategies’ new website: www.liftstrategies.com. After the tip was e-mailed out, I received plenty of kudos and feedback from people who received our bi-weekly One Minute Marketing Tip. Thank you to everyone who responded.
I also addressed the importance for revamping one’s site to speak to their ideal customers. Even though this is good advice (because I’m giving it to you), the fact is that redoing a company website can be a huge and expensive project.
If your organization is limited in time and money, the best strategy to generate more business without making big changes all at once is increase your content. You can do this by developing a schedule to update your website content on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. Google loves it when an organization adds new content to its website. You can hire a writer to draft your team’s ideas into web-ready content.
Here are some areas to start working on:
1. Update your company’s “About Us” section. Be sure to add some history and personality to this area. I find most sites do not share anything personal about the organization or its people, which can make this section of the site very insignificant and boring.
2. Outline a process your company has developed that communicates your expertise to prospective buyers.
3. Ask your customers or clients to tell you why they do business with you and then edit these down into testimonials that can be put on any or all pages in the website.
4. Describe a client success story or case study. Create a section that highlights these case studies.
5. Write an article about industry trends that pertain to the industry you are in. Be sure to have the writer edit your masterpiece or interview you and write it for you.
Content is king. Find the best and most efficient way to make it happen on your company’s website. Once there is great new content.
