Love is Greater Than Money
One of the things I love about the neighborhood (usa spelling) I live in is the diversity of the people who reside there. With that diversity comes self expression, art, community and beauty. There are also a number of parks within a short walking distance from my home.
When I walk home from buying my groceries or doing my banking, I often walk past a fence to one of the local parks that displays the image you see above. As a lover of people, animals and the planet, as well as being a business owner, this message rings true to me: Love is greater than money.
What does this mean to me? It means not letting money get in the way of love. How do I deal with this in running my business? I aim to get the agreement around money out of the way first so I can put my heart and soul into working with people.
I have to admit that, on a personal level, it’s tricky for me to do this. If anything, I am more likely to focus on the “love” part first instead of getting the conversations of money out of the way beforehand. The challenge with this is that things then become foggy at times. Upon reflection, I think it is best for me to get the money arrangement out of the way whenever possible in all areas of my life so I can be fully present and simply focus on love.
