Power of Click for Your Business
This tip starts off by sharing with you Superstore’s new plan to leverage the power of convenience through online clicks. From there, I will give you examples and an overview of my perspective on the importance of utilizing the Power of Click in your business.
When I pulled up to my local Superstore parking lot, I was amazed by the oversized parking spots they had reserved for their Click & Collect customers. These parking spots are painted in bright yellow with black text. The signage in front of each spot clearly indicates the spot is reserved for online shoppers.
On my way to the store entrance there were prominent signs with simple graphics and text laid out in an instructional three-step process. Upon going to their website, prior to ordering groceries, I discovered that you are required to book a time for your grocery pick up. There is a nominal $3.00 service charge.
This service meets the needs for those who prefer to shop online and want to pushing around a shopping care in a hectic in store environment. I image more and more grocery and pharmacy based retailers will move in this direction.
We live in a point and click society in which most of the product and services we buy offer an online component. My partner can book her dentist, doctor, and acupuncture appointments online.
I am moving much of my marketing training online in 2016 so people can have access my programs from anywhere, anytime. This is the power of click. Accessibility, convenience, and immediacy are what business owners and consumers want and expect.
